My name is Steven Houben and I am a PhD student at IT University under supervision of Prof. Dr. Jakob Bardram. I am a member of the Pervasive Interaction Technology Lab (pIT) and the Software Development Group as well as a teaching assistant in the Pervasive Computing course. I am also part of the iCareNet project as a Marie Curie Research Fellow.
My research interests lie on the intersection of human-computer interaction, ubiquitous computing and computer supported cooperative work and is focused towards the theory, design, construction and evaluation of activity-based computing (ABC) interfaces, systems and infrastructures that support real work practices. More general I am interested in (distributed) user interface technology, large public displays and mobile and nomadic computing.
